Miranda Lambert Tickets - Lambert Scores Six ACM Nods and Will Perform at Awards Show
Miranda Lambert is on a roll! Tying with Carrie Underwood, the blonde country singer scored six nominations at the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards, and on March 23 the ACMs announced that she will also perform at the awards show. Reba McEntire will host this year's ACMs for the record 12th time, and the show will take place in Las Vegas on April 18, to be aired on CBS at 8 p.m. EST. Along with Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins and Lambert's beau Blake Shelton will also perform at the star-studded event.
Miranda Lambert is in the running for the Top Female Vocalist of the Year honor at the ACMs and will face off against Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Lee Ann Womack in the category. Miranda Lambert's latest album, Revolution-produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke and released via Columbia Nashville-is nominated in the coveted Album of the Year category.
Revolution will compete against Brad Paisley's American Saturday Night (produced by Chris DuBois and Frank Rogers and released via Arista Nashville), Lady Antebellum's Lady Antebellum (produced by Victoria Shaw and Paul Worley and released via Capitol Records Nashville), Carrie Underwood's Play On (produced by Mike Bright and released via 19/Arista Nashville) and Zac Brown Band's The Foundation (produced by Keith Stegall and Zac Brown and released via Southern Ground/Bigger Picture/Atlantic).
The hit single "White Liar" off Miranda Lambert's Revolution is nominated in the Single Record of the Year category at the ACMs. "White Liar" will vie for the prize along with Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," Billy Currington's "People Are Crazy," David Nail's "Red Light" and the Zac Brown Band's "Toes." Composed by Natalie Hemby and Miranda Lambert and published by Pink Dos Publishing (BMI)/ATV Tree Publishing (BMI), "White Liar" also scored a nomination in the Song of the Year category.
Other songs up for Song of the Year at the 2010 ACMs are Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova," Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," Billy Currington's "People Are Crazy" and Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me." "White Lair" is also in the running for Video of the Year along with Randy Houser's "Boots On," Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," Brad Paisley's "Welcome to the Future" and Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me."
Currently on tour in support of Revolution, Miranda Lambert has concerts lined up through the entire summer, stopping in U.S. cities like Cincinnati, Ohio; Kalamazoo, Mich.; Jonesboro, Ark.; Bossier City, La.; Spencer, Iowa; Snoqualmie, Wash. and more. Among Lambert's gigs are stops on the Country Thunder Tour and Country Jam USA.
Lambert has also been recruited to perform at the upcoming Lilith Fair. After a 10 year hiatus, Lilith Fair organizer Sarah McLachlan is bringing back the female-fronted tour and also tapped country act Sugarland to perform. Lambert will perform at Lilith Fair when it stops in Indianapolis, Ind. on July 20.
